RX23 12V Mainboard Remote Control Box Replacement
When a ride-on car or truck stops responding to its remote, this RX23 12V mainboard is a straightforward way to bring it back. It is a replacement control box with a 2.4G Bluetooth receiver and a matching function that pairs it with your handheld remote.
Features
- Wireless Link: 2.4G Bluetooth receiver for remote control of your ride-on.
- Matching Function: A pairing button and LED let you match the receiver to your remote.
- Socket Options: Standard 7-pin single-sided connector, with an optional 4-sided socket for ride-ons that use that housing style.
- Status LED: Shows power-on, pairing confirmation, and error alerts.
Specifications
| Input Voltage | 12 volts DC |
| Wireless Frequency | 2.4G Bluetooth receiver |
| Socket | 7-pin single-sided, or optional 4-sided |
| Operating Range | Up to 50 feet (clear line of sight) |
| Operating Temperature | 32°F to 104°F (0°C to 40°C) |
| Remote Battery | 2 × AAA (not included) |
| Compatibility | 12V ride-on cars and trucks with a matching connector style |
Pairing the Remote
- Step 1: Insert two AAA batteries into the handheld remote, matching the + and – terminals, then close the compartment. The LED indicator will blink three times to show the remote is powered on.
- Step 2: Press and hold the frequency key (often labeled "Car Select") on the remote for about two seconds. The LED will begin to flash, which means the remote is in pairing mode.
- Step 3: Turn on the power switch of the ride-on. Watch the LED on the control box receiver. When pairing succeeds, the light stops blinking and stays solid.
- Step 4: If the LED keeps flashing, turn the unit off and repeat Steps 2 and 3. Once the light stays solid, the remote and ride-on are paired.
Choosing the Right Socket
The RX23 uses the same 7-pin single-sided connector as the RX43. If your ride-on has a four-sided plug housing, choose the 4-sided option so the connector fits without rewiring.
