6V and 12V Foot Pedal Accelerator with Reset Control Switch for Kids Ride-On Vehicles
Couldn't load pickup availability
This foot pedal accelerator with reset control switch replaces a worn or malfunctioning pedal on 6-volt and 12-volt kids' ride-on cars and trucks. Its built-in thermal reset helps protect the motor from overload, so a child can keep riding without a manual fix.
Key Features
- Broad voltage support: Designed for most 6-volt and 12-volt kids' ride-on cars and trucks, so you don't need a model-specific part.
- Automatic thermal reset: If the motor draws too much current or an overload occurs, the switch resets on its own once it cools, restoring power without manual intervention.
- Durable build: The ABS plastic housing and heavy-duty internal contacts are made to handle repeated pedal presses and outdoor use.
- Smooth acceleration: The ergonomic pedal lets your child go from a gentle roll to a faster pace by adjusting how firmly they press.
- Easy installation: Clearly labeled wiring and simple plug connectors make it a quick swap. No special tools or electrical experience are needed.
- Reset indicator: A bright indicator light shows when the reset function is active.

How It Works
When your child presses the accelerator pedal, an internal contact closes and sends power from the battery to the motor. If the current rises above safe levels, such as on a steep incline or during a sudden burst of speed, the thermal reset temporarily opens the circuit to protect the motor. Once it cools, the switch resets automatically and power is restored.
Installation
- Disconnect the battery.
- Unplug the wiring harness from the old accelerator pedal and remove the pedal.
- Position the new pedal switch and secure it with the mounting bracket or the existing screws.
- Connect the matching 2-pin plugs: one end to the battery and motor wiring, the other to the pedal switch.
- Reconnect the battery, then press the pedal gently to test it.
Built for Outdoor Play
The ABS shell resists cracks and impact if the pedal is kicked or bumped. Sealed internal components help keep dust, dirt, and moisture out, which suits riding on grass, gravel, or driveways. The switch works with a range of entry-level and mid-range kids' ride-ons, making it a practical replacement when the original pedal wears out.
